I am a jeweller at the collective Flux Studio, which is based in Vanguard Court in Camberwell. And, as hapens every December, we are opening for one weekend to show our workspace and our work as part of Camberwell Arts Open Studios. Vanguard Court has an interesting history, it was once owned by Robert & John White, who made R Whites lemonade. But it is also where some of London's first omnibuses were built in the early 20th century. Today it is the home of a creative community of makers, and I am lucky enough to be one of them.
I will be showing my jewellery, such as these etched silver pendants, the one on the left is enamelled in blue and the one on the right has been oxidised in order to enhance the fused 24 carat gold. And there will be a lot more jewellers to see, as well as festive cheer in the form of mulled wine or similar, so do come by and say hello.
